Our Speakers

Christine Platt (she/her)

A non-Indigenous woman of British descent living on Between the Lakes Treaty 3 Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Christine has two roles in the healthcare system: 1) Geriatric Systems Implementation Facilitator in Waterloo Wellington, and 2) EDI and Indigenous Relations Coordinator for the Guelph Wellington Ontario Health Team.

Through her roles she facilitates partnership and collaboration across the local health and social services to address gaps and enhance care with older adults and diverse populations. Essential to her work is engaging and listening to lived experiences and supporting organizations on their journeys to support marginalized populations.

Susie Gregg (she/her)

A settler on Treaty 3 territory, Susie is an Occupational Therapist by background, currently serving as a Geriatric Clinical Resource Consultant for Primary Care. She supports primary care providers to build capacity in delivering effective care for older adults.  Over her 30-year career in geriatrics, Susie’s practice has been deeply shaped by her early work walking alongside individuals with dementia and their families, as well as by the dedication of the health and community support professionals she collaborates with daily. She is dedicated to lifelong learning, volunteerism, the search for self-care, and gracefully balancing the privilege of supporting her aging parents, in-laws, and tween daughter.
