On December 5, 2024, Provincial Geriatrics Leadership Ontario and Specialized Geriatric Services (SGS) East hosted nearly 90 senior leaders, decision-makers, health system planners and lived experience advisors to explore the leadership skills needed in health and social care services for older adults living with complex health conditions. Participants reflected on presentations from experts covering topics such as leading in complexity, leader roles, sense-making of data, cross sectoral partnerships and the integration of clinical, policy and lived experiences. Following presentations, participants engaged in peer-to-peer dialogues to identify key leadership attributes needed for planning and delivering care to complex older adult populations.
