Welcome to Community Paramedicince – Geriatric Essentials, a training program co-developed by the Ontario Community Paramedicine Secretariat and Provincial Geriatrics Leadership Ontario.
Learning Objectives
The objectives of the community paramedicine program developing in Ontario are to:
•Build capacity among Paramedics to facilitate geriatric assessment and implement interventions developed collaboratively with an interprofessional team
•Work with partners to identify and refer clients identified to be at risk or frail seniors who could benefit from additional support services in the community
•Create lasting infrastructure to support a community paramedicine function in various municipalities
•Strengthen capacity for frail seniors to remain at home in Ontario
